Matthew Barringer has more than two decades of experience as a legal professional, including roles with municipal agencies such as Oklahoma City Legal Aid and the Oklahoma City District Attorney’s Office. He joined the Colorado firm of Sobranes, LLC, as general counsel in 2004, then gained experience as an attorney at Darrell S. Elliott, PC, and Underhill and Underhill, PC, both in the Denver area. Matthew Barringer established his own law firm in 2007. His practice emphasizes immigration law, with a focus on helping clients attain legal status in the US and preventing deportations. The Barringer Law Firm also represents clients in family and criminal law cases.

Mr. Barringer holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Colorado and a juris doctor from the Oklahoma City School of Law. He is a member of multiple bar associations, as well as the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Beyond his work as an attorney, he spends time as a volunteer soccer coach with Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer. He also enjoys playing tennis and competing in marathons.
